Indian E-commerce giant Flipkart has changed its refund policy for many categories on the website,This change has been done based on the broad analytics based on the customer behaviour to optamize the performance of various categories. It may upset few of the FlipKart customers though.
The country’s largest ecommerce marketplace no longer offers refunds on mobile accessories, personal care appliances, computer and camera accessories, office equipment, and game and smart wearables. “Refunds are not offered. All sales are final,” says the refund policy on its website for these categories.
As per the vendors this is a good move. As per vendors, customers anyways don’t get refund from the physical shops across country.Also few regions within India have customer who order product just for fun and later request refund. Not genuine buyers are also becoming a problem for the E-commerce company.
Flipkart’s rival Amazon India continues to allow refund in several categories including mobile accessories, large appliances, video games, books, software, furniture, sportsfitness-and-outdoor products, clothing, fashion accessories and handbags, according to its return policy on its website.
