Verizon acquired Yahoo.

On July 25, 2016, Verizon Communications officially announced an intent to acquire Yahoo’s internet business for US$4.8 billion. Verizon has acquired Yahoo’s core business for $4.83 billion in cash. This includes Yahoo’s advertising, content, search and mobile activities. In 2000, Yahoo was worth a whopping $125 billion. Though Alibaba shares are not part of this deal as well yahoo’s japan subsidiary.

The company is based at 1095 Avenue of the Americas in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, but is incorporated in Delaware.
